• You use Canvas but prefer to link students to an additional website on MyEEE+
• You don’t use Canvas or a class website but would like to link to your syllabus

ClassLinker Default settings

Without taking any action, ClassLinker will have the following default settings for all courses.

MyEEE+ Link: Canvas course space
Schedule of Classes Link: Syllabus page in UCI Canvas course space

ClassLinker will automatically link to your published Canvas course space on the MyEEE+ Class List, provided one has been created for that section. This also goes for linking to your course space’s Syllabus page, so long as the course is published and the Syllabus page has content.

Accessing the ClassLinker tool

1. Start by visiting your MyEEE+ Class List.
2. Choose the desired quarter near the top of the page.
3. Scroll to find the course section that you would like to view in ClassLinker.
4. Click the section’s “Other Tools” dropdown menu and select EEE+ ClassLinker.
   
5. You will be taken to that section’s ClassLinker page which displays its current class link settings.

Editing a course section’s ClassLinker settings

Outlined below are the steps to change a course section’s MyEEE+ Class List link that is provided to enrolled students.

1. Using the steps outlined in the “Accessing the ClassLinker tool” section above, open ClassLinker for the desired course section.
2. After arriving on the ClassLinker page, click the blue Edit button.
   
3. Adjust the MyEEE+ Link provided to enrolled students:
   
   
4. When satisfied with your ClassLinker settings, click the blue Save Changes button.
   

Settings Definitions

My EEE Link

• Canvas course space: Provide the published Canvas course space link.
  Note: This is the default setting for ClassLinker
• Custom Link: This can be used to link your students to any custom web link such as a department website or WordPress site.
• No Link: No link will be displayed to your students on MyEEE+ Class List.

Schedule of Classes Link

• UCI Canvas course space: Provides a link to your Canvas course space, so long as course access is set to Institution and the course space is Published.
• Custom Link: This can be used to link Schedule of Classes viewers to any custom web link such as a department website or WordPress site.
• Syllabus page in UCI Canvas course space: Provides a link to your Canvas course space’s Syllabus page, so long as course access is set to Institution + Syllabus, the Syllabus has content, and the course space is Published.
• Syllabus uploaded to EEE+ GrandCentral: This will provide a link to the syllabus made available in Syllabus Manager.
• No Link: No link will be displayed on the Schedule of Classes.
