Converting a PDF Document into a Canvas Page
UDOIT
The UDOIT Accessibility Checking tool scans Canvas course spaces to identify areas that are not optimized for accessibility. It will then provide guidance on how you can tweak your course space so that people can get the most out of it.

How to Integrate With Canvas
These steps assume that you have already created a Canvas course space. If you have not, create a course space first.
- Open your Canvas course space and click on Settings.
- Click on Navigation near the top.
- There are two lists here. Drag UDOIT from the lower list to the upper list.
- Click Save at the bottom of this screen.
- UDOIT should now appear as a menu item on the left-hand side of your Canvas course space.
Converting a PDF Document into a Canvas Page
- Log into Canvas.
- Click the UDOIT link on your Canvas Course Menu.
- Select Review Files after UDOIT finishes scanning your course.
- Click the Review button to the right of the file you wish to convert.
- Click Request next to Canvas Page.
- Once the page has been generated, click the three-dot menu to the right of the Canvas Page.
- Select View. Edit the page to make any necessary adjustments and apply accessibility considerations.
- Optional: Return to the Review Files Modal in UDOIT and select the Replace File with a Page button to have the new Canvas Page replace your original file in all content and modules.
