WileyPlus

As of 9/23/21, the new version of WileyPLUS has been installed in UCI Canvas. WileyPLUS is a digital teaching and learning tool that incorporates etextbooks published by Wiley.

Suggested Uses

  • Incorporate textbooks published by WileyPLUS into your course (Note: Textbooks come at additional cost for students)
  • Improve student interaction with your assigned textbook(s)

How to Integrate With Canvas

These steps assume that you have already created a Canvas course space. If you have not, create a course space first.

  1. Open your Canvas course space and click on Settings.
  2. Click on Navigation near the top.
  3. There are two lists here. Drag Wiley Course Resources from the lower list to the upper list.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of this screen.
  5. Wiley Course Resources should now appear as a menu item on the left-hand side of your Canvas course space.

Pairing a WileyPlus Course

  1. Open your Canvas course space and select Wiley Course Resources.
  2. You will be prompted to enter an integration code. Click here to learn how to locate your integration code.
  3. Once you’ve entered the code, click Pair Course.

  4. A pop-up will appear asking if the course you entered is the right course. Click Confirm to verify.
  5. If it’s your first time integrating a course you’ll be presented with a login screen.

Creating an Assignment

  1. Once you’ve integrated your course you’ll be taken to your course dashboard.
  2. Click Assignments on the dashboard menu.
  3. At the top, click the yellow +Assignment button.
  4. Add a name, questions, policies, and add-ons to your assignment.
  5. Once you’re finished, click Publish.

Using WileyPlus Course Resources

  1. Once you’ve integrated your course you’ll be taken to your course dashboard.
  2. Click Wiley Course Resources on the dashboard menu.
  3. A new tab will open. You’ll be able to access all of the student-facing resources, textbooks, and practice.
  4. Click Instructor Resources at the top of the page to see your instructor manual and lecture slides.

Integrating a WileyPlus Resource

  1. Once you’ve integrated your course you’ll be taken to your course dashboard.
  2. Click Pages on the dashboard menu.
  3. Click +Page.
  4. Select the WileyPlus icon on the insert menu.
  5. A pop-up will appear. Select your resource type under the Resource Type menu.
  6. Select the resources you’d like to add, then click Add Selected.
  7. Click Save & Publish.
